The PMC is an independent organization owned by the Association of Practice Management Educators (APME), a non-profit organization.
The PMC is the implementation of principles taught by the APME practice management educators in the optometric schools and colleges. The practice management educators are the primary consultants for the PMC. Specific protocols have been established to be followed to ensure high quality service and provide value to practice buyers and sellers.
The perpetuation of independent optometry lies in the ability to successfully transition practices to a new generation of ODs with adequate economic benefits available to both practice buyers and sellers.
